Experiencing the death of a loved one throws us into a confusing and frightening state of mourning. No one can prepare us for the effects of grief, of which there are many. The process of grief is a lonely journey, even when we are surrounded by family and friends we can feel very much alone, and totally bereft because the one we want to be with is no longer there.
